Meeting Ms. Mendoza: My International Interview Project
On April 27, 2008, Ms. Mendoza sat and talked with me about education, health, and ethic groups in Mexico. Ms. Mendoza lived in Mexico as a teacher most of her life. She came to San Francisco to be a teacher.
According to Ms Mendoza, in Mexico education is not fair to the poor every kid go to school in Mexico but the school for rich students its better. When I interviewed Ms. Mendoza who was a teacher in Mexico she said “the students is not treated fair for the poor”. In other words education is inequitable. The quote remind me of San Francisco education.
In San Francisco we don’t get the same supplies as the wealthy schools such as Lowell high school. When I asked Ms. Mendoza about students get treated fairly with the supplies she said “the school only supplies books”. In other words kids don’t get many supplies but books.
Unlike in the Us. In Mexico the students are more responsible and respectful. When I asked Ms. Mendoza how was the students like in Mexico she said “they are more reasonable for all work and more respectful to there teacher”. In other words the kids in Mexico are more better behaved then the kids in San Francisco. The students in San Francisco are not respectful to there teacher and there not responable for there work.
In the us we have many ethnic groups when I asked Ms. Mendoza how many ethnic groups are in Mexico she said “its about 30 ethnic groups”. In other words in Mexico they have an a lot of ethnic groups. I will guess there is a very low percent black people in Mexico. Next then I asked Ms. Mendoza how equal was the ethnic groups she said “the ethnic group are serrated”. Therefore different ethnic group don’t hang with each other.
In Mexico every body don’t have access to health care when I asked Ms. Mendoza are poor people allowed to get treated the same as rich people she said “No they are segregated the rich have an private hospital”. In other words if you was not rich they would let u die. In San Francisco you need insurance to be able to see a doctor .
Women are allowed to get abortion. But many of the woman cant afford them. When I asked Ms. Mendoza if a woman get pregnant can she get an abortion she said “in Mexico abortion are legal”. In other worlds woman can get abortion in Mexico. The same applies hear in San Francisco.
Interviewing Ms. Mendoza was fun. I also leaned a lot from her and the interview. I hope one day in my life time I can visit Mexico. What did I learn from this project? I learn that the government don’t supplier pens and paper.
